The index is rebuilt by hand, so the date on the results page is the date it was last run, not this minute.
Because we are building the index ourselves rather than renting one. Starting with our own pages means the crawling, parsing and ranking are all proven on sites where nobody else pays the cost of our mistakes. It grows outward from here.
When it reaches beyond our own sites it grows by reading public web archives that other people have already collected, not by crawling you. Your server never hears from us. The full statement is at /crawler.

If you do sign in, it is one Kortaga account, and it works across everything we run. You can make one at id.kortaga.com, sign in with a passkey instead of a password if your device supports it, and see or delete what it holds.
The search runs against a file of our own pages. Your query is used to answer it and is not written to a log, not attached to your account, and not sold. There is no advertising on this page.
